After getting quotes from other electricians, it was an easy decision to choose Blake for the job. He came with a great referral, quoted a price that was 1/2 what other electricians wanted to charge and his quick attention was a big plus. Blake first installed a connection for a new range hood we where going to be installing then came back to switched out a kitchen fan for us.
He installed the fan on the same day that the company we purchased the hood from came to install it. After seeing how they had done the installation, Blake kindly offered to improve the way that it was mounted. He quickly refined the mounting in a way the installers had pointed out to me was a not ideal but that they were unwilling to fix.

A branch the size of a tree took down the power line and telephone line in my back yard, and tore off an old rusted attachment on the wall of my home. Pauric came out within 2 hours (yes 2 hours), analyzed the situation, fixed the attachment, set up everything perfectly for PG&E to turn on the power. And they did quality work at reasonable price. When PG&E came by, they remarked on the high quality of the work done.
And I found them on Google!!! Unreal.
I have to tell you this as well, the guy who did the repairs had his Dad along with him, with the most wonderful Irish lilt. His Dad remarked on the quality of the pine and how beautiful it would look stacked in the backyard, and how great the smell will be in the fireplace (neither of which I had thought of). I’m taking his advice about the location of the firewood, and looking forward to the smell in the fireplace.

On a friend’s recommendation I hired Blake of Pauric Electric to do a couple of days of electrical work for my home: he installed some recessed halogen lights, relocated a chandelier, added some ceiling lights, installed a ceiling fan, added a few electrical outlets, and installed lights (they come on automatically!) in my closets.
All the work was done beautifully and efficiently, so much so that before he left I was running around the house trying to think of other work I could have him do. In fact, once my neighbor saw it all he was inspired to have a lot of the same stuff done as well.
From what I understand Pauric Electric does mostly commercial work, but they were more than happy to do a residential job like mine. I appreciate that because I was surprised, given this economy, by the lack of enthusiasm that I encountered in other electricians when I got estimates for the same work.
Blake showed up at exactly the time he said he would and worked steadily and cheerfully. No disappearing for hours or showing up sporadically, etc. The job cost what we agreed on in advance and I felt totally comfortable with him in my home at all times.
Over the past two years I’ve had A LOT of work done on my home and dealt with quite a few contractors, plumbers, and tradesmen of all types. I have to say that my experience with Pauric Electric stands out as one of the best. From the very beginning I felt like I was dealing with an experienced electrician who not only knew what he was doing but was also very concerned that I was happy with the work.
